HONG Leong Bank has yesterday launched its mobile phone banking service for customers of the Hotlink Maxis prepaid service, which will enable them to check their account or credit card balance without having to call the bank.Â
Recalling that the bank's first mobile phone banking service was launched two years ago for Maxis post-paid customers, group managing director Yvonne Chia said the extension of the service to Hotlink prepaid customers would enable the bank to serve a larger customer base.Â
With the launch of this mobile phone banking service, customers on the move can now enjoy the convenience of getting their account or credit card balance without having to call the bank, she said after the opening of the bank's Kota Kemuning branch in Shah Alam by the Youth and Sports Ministry's parliamentary secretary, S.A. Vigneswaran. Â
Chia said the service would also enable customers to pay their Astro and Maxis bills, transfer funds to Telelink and change their telephone personal identification numbers by just sending an SMS from their mobile phones.Â
The Kota Kemuning branch is Hong Leong Bank's third in Shah Alam. Â
Nationwide, the bank now has a total of 180 outlets. Bernama Â
