Asian oil companies urged to co-operate

ASIAN national oil companies (NOCs) should collaborate and co-operate to maximise the utilisation of the region's limited resources, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said.

Indeed, the various Asian NOCs could play a pivotal role towards meeting this objective by working together as strategic partners and forming alliances to ensure a reliable supply of energy, he said at the opening of the 9th Asia Oil and Gas Conference, themed Rising to New Challenges, in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
