SAN FRANCISCO: National Semiconductor Corp, a maker of analog semiconductors, reported on Thursday a quarterly profit, reversing a year-earlier loss and topping Wall Street estimates, as demand from cellular phone makers grew.
National Semiconductor reported a profit of US$126.4mil on sales of US$571.2mil for its fiscal fourth quarter ended May 30. In the equivalent period last year, the company registered losses of US$4.4mil.
