Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) may sell Islamic bonds next year to reduce debts that leave it vulnerable to currency fluctuations, chief executive Datuk Pian Sukro said.
The company would not sell bonds this year because it had sold minority stakes in independent power producers such as YTL Power International Bhd, thereby trimming its debt, said Pian, who will be stepping down as CEO later this month.
