  • Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has signed four memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with local and foreign firms to collaborate in training and development. 

    In a statement, TNB said it had signed MoUs with Turboinstitut of Slovenia, TWI Training & Certification (S.E. Asia) Sdn Bhd and Persatuan Kontraktor Melayu Malaysia (PKMM). – AFX-Asia 

  • JAYA TIASA HOLDINGS BHD has entered into sale and purchase agreements to buy two companies, which own a combined 15,000ha of plantation land, for RM49.7mil cash. 

    In a statement, Jaya Tiasa said it would acquire 100% of Eastern Eden Sdn Bhd for RM33.14mil, and Poh Zhen Sdn Bhd for RM16.57mil. – AFX-Asia 

  • Integrated sewage treatment specialist PEMBINAAN JAYABUMI (SARAWAK) BHD (PJSB) has won a contract from the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry for the supply and delivery of sewage treatment plant system. 

    In a statement, the company said the total consideration for the contract was based on individual local orders made by the ministry. It did not give details. – AFX-Asia 

  • Textile and clothing manufacturer RAMATEX BHD is investing up to US$20mil in stocks on Bursa Malaysia and the Singapore Exchange via an investment fund. 

    In a statement, Ramatex said it had authorised its operating companies to set up the fund, which would be used by wholly owned subsidiaries, namely RB (Labuan) Ltd and Ramatex Capital Ltd, to invest in stocks in the two markets. – AFX-Asia
