New APLI glove plant in Vietnam to start ops soon

GLOVE maker APL Industries Bhd’s (APLI) new plant in Vietnam will run trial tests this week, with commercial output of its first production line to start next month. 

Its chief executive Lee Son Hong said the first line in the Vietnam plant had a capacity of 60 million pieces of gloves a month. By industry yardstick, this refers to each piece of glove and not each pair.
