NEW YORK: Motorola Inc, the world's No. 2 mobile phone maker, has not been affected by price cuts at bigger rival Nokia so far, the president of Motorola's mobile phone unit said on Thursday.

Speaking at an investor conference held by Piper Jaffray in New York, Tom Lynch also said the company still believes it is on a path to achieve a 15% operating profit margin but added, “It's not going to be this year.”

In response to analyst reports that Nokia has cut its price for certain mobile phone models, Lynch said the company would only follow suit in certain phone categories. – Reuters
