Auto spa targets 300 member cars

CARNAUBA Autospa Sdn Bhd, the operator of a spa facility for vehicles, aims to get 300 member cars within a year of its operations, mostly large high-end cars. 

Its managing director Kumar Prabakaran said the facility, known as Carnauba Autospace, was the first of its kind in the country. 

The spa, which started operations last month, provides detailing and waxing services for vehicles.  

It had already secured 30 member cars, Kumar said at the RM1.5mil facility launch in Petaling Jaya.  

Owners could have their vehicles detailed and waxed at the facility, and the membership was according to the cars and not owners, as an owner could have more than one car, he said. 

Carnauba Autospa is also the distributor of well-known Zymol car care products. The company would apply these products manually to the vehicles being detailed or waxed according to the type of materials used in the vehicle, such as wood, leather, vinyl, rubber, chrome, paint and even glass. 

Zymol products contain carnauba, which is extracted from the leaves of a palm-like tree found in Brazil. 

Kumar said the company aimed to have more corporate and club clients of renowned car makes such as Mercedez Benz, Daimler Chrysler, BMW and Porsche. – Bernama
