Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) is implementing a new enhanced online security feature known as Transaction Authorisation Code or TAC, effective today, for customers performing online banking transactions at Maybank2U.com.
TAC is a unique 6-digit code that will be compulsory for specific online transactions for Maybank2u.com customers in addition to their username and password.
“Maybank is the first bank to introduce this online security feature. TAC is gaining acceptance as an enhanced security feature and has been successfully implemented in Singapore,” Maybank senior executive vice-president and head of retail financial services group, Johar Che Mat said in a statement yesterday.
