·UNIPHONE TELECOMMUNICATIONS BHD said its restricted offer for sale of 17.03 million shares has been oversubscribed by 5.8 million shares or 34.07% over the total number of offer shares. 

Under the restricted offer, Uniphone offered Sapura Telecommunications Bhd to its shareholders at RM1.70 per Sapura share and RM1.60 per Sapura share to parties not related to Uniphone. – AFX-Asia 

·Bright Packaging Industry Bhd reported a higher pre-tax loss of RM2.656mil for the half-year ended Feb 29, 2004 from a loss of RM1.953mil in the previous corresponding same period of 2003. 

The loss was incurred over a bigger revenue of RM16.703mil against RM13.924mil. 

Basic loss per share dropped to 5.80 sen compared with 4.29 sen previously. – Bernama  

·Broad money supply (M3) expanded by RM8bil in March, reflecting the expansionary external operations and higher financing by the banking system to the private sector. 

Bank Negara said on an annual basis, all the three monetary aggregates increased with M1, M2 and M3 growing by 19.8%, 12.6% and 10.7% respectively at end-March. 

The high growth in M1 reflected stronger demand for transactional balances and the higher turnover in the equity market, BNM said in a statement. – Bernama
