JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) - The Indonesian unit of U.K. insurer Prudential has been allowed to resume operations while the company appeals a controversial court ruling that forced it to close earlier this week, lawyers said Friday.
PT Prudential Life Assurance shut its doors Monday after the Central Jakarta Commercial Court declared it bankrupt due to its failure to pay a fee to a former consultant.
