SPB: Income from abroad steady

SELANGOR Properties Bhd (SPB) is confident its RM500mil investment in overseas equities and fixed income instruments, including bonds, will continue to generate strong earnings for the group in the coming years, financial controller Lee Boon Kian said. 

For financial year (FY) ended Oct 31, 2003, offshore investments in the US and Europe contributed 58% to group earnings while contribution from property investments was 16%, education arm HELP Institute's share was 6% and investment in Australian properties 4%.
