  • SUNWAY CONSTRUCTION BHD (Suncon) has won a RM147.38mil contract from Sunway D'Mont Kiara Sdn Bhd, a unit of Sunway City Bhd, to build 83 bungalows at Taman Sri Hartamas in Kuala Lumpur.  

    In a statement, Suncon said it accepted a letter of award for the project, expected to be completed in mid-October 2005. 

    The project is deemed a related party transaction and is covered by a shareholders' mandate for recurrent related party transactions, according to Suncon. – AFX-Asia 

  • PERNAS INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS BHD has proposed a change of name to Tradewinds Corp Bhd to better reflect its status as the holding company of Tradewinds (M) Bhd. 

    The hotel and property company said it had received approval from the Companies Commission Malaysia for use of the proposed name and would seek approval from its shareholders. – AFX-Asia

  • MAXIS Communications Bhd has denied that it is interested in acquiring AT&T Wireless Services Inc's 33.3% stake in India's Idea Cellular Ltd. 

    Maxis made the denial in a statement in response to queries from Bursa Malaysia.. – AFX-Asia
