Bursa Malaysia-SGX talks may be widened in time

THE discussions that have been initiated between Bursa Malaysia Bhd and Singapore Exchange Ltd (SGX), which could lead to cross-listing of companies on both exchanges, may be expanded eventually to include other bourses in the region. 

“Initially, the most obvious choice would appear to be Singapore because of our historical links ... given the warming of relations between the two countries, it makes sense for us to explore with them first,'' said Bursa Malaysia chief executive officer Yusli Mohamed Yusoff.
