SINGAPORE: The United Nations' Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (Escap) said in its annual survey that it has forecast an overall gross domestic product (GDP) growth of 5.7% for South-East Asia this year, up from 4.6% in 2003.
The GDP growth rates of countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam were all expected to perform better this year compared with 2003, it added.
