TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) - EVA Airways Corp., Taiwan's second largest airline, said Thursday it plans to raise between 4 billion New Taiwan dollars (US$121 million) and NT$5 billion (US$151 million) by the end of the third quarter to help cover its down payment on 15 Boeing Co. aircraft.
Wu Kuang-hui, EVA's deputy senior vice president, said that the down payment would be equivalent to 35 percent of the total value of the plane purchase.
