WASHINGTON: One month of robust US job growth is not enough to spur Federal Reserve policymakers to raise interest rates but it may help shorten the time before the current era of bargain credit draws to a close.
Analysts agreed with Fed officials speaking on Tuesday that March's surprisingly strong payrolls report showing 308,000 new jobs was welcome but did not necessarily signal a trend.
