HELSINKI: Nokia Corp's shock first-quarter sales warning – coming as markets had been hoping it would raise its profit forecast for the period – is hitting its stock hard, but is seen as a possible turning point for competitors including Siemens AG and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, analysts say.

“There is a clear discrepancy between what the market had anticipated and what the company has now said ... (especially) as there had been several signs that suppliers have been doing well,” said Kaupthing Sofi analyst Mika Metsaelae.
