MALAYSIA'S exports grew 7.5% year-on-year in January to RM34.02bil – the highest export number for that month in a decade – buoyed by increased demand for manufactured goods and commodities from key markets like China, Japan and the United States.
Imports rose 12% to RM27.5bil in January from RM24.58bil a year ago, mainly due to higher imports of intermediate goods by local manufacturers.
