NEW YORK: Media mogul Conrad Black, embroiled in a bitter battle with the new management of his newspaper empire, has been removed as chairman of Britain's Telegraph Group, a Hollinger International Inc spokesman said.
The decision by the Telegraph Group board followed a US judge’s ruling last month that Black breached his fiduciary duties to US-based Hollinger International, the hub of his newspaper empire that includes the Daily Telegraph of London as well as the Chicago Sun-Times and Jerusalem Post.
