TRICUBES Computers Sdn Bhd has recorded RM75mil of total sales in the last three years of its operations, according to chief executive officer Khairun Zainal Mokhtar.

And the company, he said, was ready to take on the local market for its biometric technology equipment worth US$1.4bil.

The MSC-status company had supplied over 25,000 biometric meters using fingerprints to enable personnel to gain access to entrances in security buildings, banks, and factories, Khairun said at the launch of the Secure Xcess solution in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

On the company's proposed listing on MSEB Mesdaq market, Khairun said the company had submitted its documents for this purpose.

Secure Xcess is a locally designed integrated product. Its applications include keypad entry facilities, contact and contactless cards, and fingerprint authentication to gain access to secured buildings.

“Staff can even use their MyKad or other specially issued cards to be swiped over Secure Xcess meters,” Khairun said.

The system is targeted at buildings or areas requiring a higher level of security implementation – facilities such as airports, seaports, banks, secured government buildings, and even factories.

“Since the system requires the user to place his or her finger on the sensor as an input, applications such as personnel movement and time attendance can be easily implemented,” Khairun added.

Tricubes has to date secured orders from over 20 organisations and supplied more than 5,000 biometric meters.

The company also exports its technology overseas, such as to the Hong Kong Immigration Department and high security buildings in France.
