SYDNEY, Australia (AP) - Australian telecommunications giant Telstra announced Monday it had taken over the Trading Post classified advertising group for 636 million Australian dollars (US$481 million) from its Dutch owner.
Australia's top three media and publishing groups John Fairfax Holdings Ltd, Publishing and Broadcasting Ltd and Rupert Murdoch's News Corp Ltd, all were rumored to be interested in Trading Post.
