SINGAPORE’S Temasek Holdings has bought 160 million shares, or a 5% equity stake, in Telekom Malaysia Bhd that formed part of the 300 million shares Khazanah Nasional Bhd sold in a private placement yesterday.
Temasek, the biggest purchaser in the placement, and now a strategic investor in Telekom, paid more than RM1.6bil for the stake, market sources said.
