REGIONAL integration arising from rapid expansion of intra-regional trade in Asia will lead to greater demand for over-the-counter (OTC) financial derivatives and as such, Malaysian banking institutions must be prepared to compete in this highly innovative and agile global industry, Bank Negara governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz said.
