AMTEK Holdings Bhd shares surged 47 sen or 39% to close at RM1.67 yesterday after the group confirmed that a substantial shareholder, Syed Azmin Syed Nor, is in talks with Singapore-based RSH Ltd on plans to inject the latter's Malaysian businesses into the company.
The second board counter, which was barely traded in the past few weeks, rose to an intra-day high of RM1.98 on volume of 630,700 shares yesterday.
