  • FORD Malaysia Sdn Bhd has appointed Michael J. Pease managing director and Alex Chang Siew Hong as director – motor group (Ford operations).  

    Chang has been with Sime Darby Bhd since 1975 and has worked in various senior managerial positions in both the heavy equipment and motor group divisions within Tractors Malaysia.  

    Pease joined Ford Malaysia after 26 years of service with Ford Motor Co. He was the Ford Asia Pacific regional marketing director based in Bangkok.  

  • GAS Malaysia Sdn Bhd has appointed Muhamad Noor Hamid as its new chief executive officer (CEO).  

    Noor has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Sunderland Polytechnic, England and holds a post-graduate diploma in gas engineering from the Institute of Gas Technology in Gas Technology in Chicago, United States. 

    He was the CEO of Projass Engineering Sdn Bhd prior to joining Gas Malaysia. He has also worked in Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) and Petronas Gas Sdn Bhd. 

  • THE Pacific Insurance Bhd has appointed operations general manager Sonny Tan Siew Hock its acting chief executive officer.  

    A chartered insurer and health insurance associate, Tan joined the company in September 2001. He holds a MBA from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, and is also an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Malaysian Insurance Institute. 

  • COMPUTER Recovery Centre Sdn Bhd (CRC), an associate company of SCS Computer Systems Sdn Bhd, has appointed David Khaw as CEO. Khaw was previously general manager of the networking and server systems unit of SCS. 

    He started his career in the information and communications technology industry as a programmer, then joined SCS as a software specialist in 1986.
