SEG Samsung gets China nod for stake sale to M’sian unit

SHANGHAI: China’s SEG Samsung has won approval to offload a 14.09% stake to a Malaysian unit of South Korea’s Samsung Electronics and US firm Corning Inc, the Chinese firm said on Wednesday.  

TV tube maker Shenzhen SEG Samsung Glass Co Ltd became the latest company based in the go-go southern boomtown of Shenzhen to propel a restructuring effort spearheaded by the government.
