Malaysia passes CalPERS test with higher score

MALAYSIA has passed the CalPERS test with higher marks than ever before, but a decision on whether America’s biggest pension fund will return to the local market is to be taken only next week. 

Yesterday, Wilshire Consulting, investment advisers to the California Public Employees’ Retirement System – or better known as CalPERS – recommended that Malaysia be included in the giant pension fund’s list of emerging market investments based on its higher scores.
