CONCERNS over the spread of the bird flu in the region are beginning to bite as some restaurants serving chicken on their menu and poultry suppliers are experiencing a drop in sales.
Nando’s Chickenland Malaysia Sdn Bhd director Mac Chung Lynn told a media briefing in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday that the restaurant chain had been experiencing a 20% decline in weekly sales to RM520,000 from the average RM650,000 the past two weeks.
