Market sees biggest single-day fall since November

THE MSEB Composite Index (CI) had its biggest fall yesterday since November last year as the market reacted to major declines in other Asian bourses on Monday arising from investors' jitters over the bird flu outbreak. 

The CI dropped 14 points or 1.7% to 804 – its lowest level in about a month – with losers outpacing gainers by four to one.
