THE spread of bird flu has begun to take its toll on share prices in Asia, with Thailand's SET Index worst hit, sliding 8.1 points or 1.1% to a one-month low of 714.04.
Elsewhere, the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JKSE) Index fell 7.5 points to 759.6, Singapore's Straits Times Index lost 20.5 points to 1,842, and the MSEB Composite Index eased 2.74 points to 817.
