Credit card battle heating up

THE war over credit cards is heating up with all the major banks in town going all out to garner a bigger market share through various promotional means.

As competition becomes stiff, questions loom as to whether such aggressive moves would result in a lower quality of the customer base, threatening a similar scenario of the recent US$4.5bil bail- out of South Korean LG Card.

A nearly free-for-all market also sparked the need for a security system for cards, which is instrumental in protecting clients’ wealth and security.
