WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) - Rising house and construction prices helped drive inflation up by a higher-than-expected 0.7 percent in the three months ended Dec. 31, official figures showed Tuesday.
Statistics New Zealand's consumer price index increased 0.7 percent for the December quarter and 1.6 percent for the year to Dec. 31, up from 1.5 percent in the year to Sept. 30, the government agency reported.
