CINDY Koh would never have thought that sneaking in at midnight to help a friend at wheel throwing would stir her passion and charter her career in ceramics.
Koh, then an undergraduate in marketing at the University of Evansville in Indiana, the United States, recalled that her friend, who was taking a course in ceramics, needed help at wheel throwing, a process where clay is moulded using a flat, turning wheel.
