MANILA, Philippines (AP) - Philippine shares closed higher Friday as bargain hunters started buying select blue chips following losses the previous session, traders said.
The 30-company Philippine Stock Exchange Index ended up 10.11 points, or 0.7 percent, at 1,518.01, after Thursday's 1.1 percent decline.
