Australia's economy and its dollar are expected to peak over the next few months, but the long-term outlook for both remains positive, said ANZ Bank chief economist Saul Eslake.
Eslake thinks the Aussie could climb to as high as 82 cents against the US dollar by the middle of the year, but should soften once US interest rates are raised.
