·Prudential Assurance Malaysia Bhd has appointed Yoon Mun Thim as its new chief investment officer (CIO).
Previously, Yoon was an investment analyst at Seacorp-Schroder Capital Management (now known as Amanah SSCM Asset Management Bhd) and also as CIO of Amanah.
Yoon, a graduate from Cambridge University, is a professionally qualified CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and CFP (Certified Financial Planner).
·THE Malaysian Association of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (Maicsa) announced that Jeremie Ting Keng Fui was elected as president, while Muhammad Hafidz Nuruddin was re-elected as deputy president and Akhbar Moidunny as vice-president at a special council meeting on Jan 5.
Ting has been a member of the council since 1994. He takes over the helm from Paul W. Chan, who had served as president for the past two years.
Ting heads the corporate services and human resources and administration departments of IJM Corp Bhd.
Hafidz is the chairman of the Law Review and Company Secretarial Practice Committee and the Maicsa constitution task force.
He is the partner of the legal firm of Hafidz & Co and also the company secretary for ACP Industries Bhd.
Akhbar is the chairman of the editorial committee, the regional liaison committee, and the SSM-Maicsa company secretary award task force.
He is the managing director of MINC Corporate Consultants (M) Sdn Bhd, which provides company secretarial and financial consultancy services, as well as the executive chairman of Akbars House of Consultants Sdn Bhd.
