LTAT hopes to close BP deal in six months

LEMBAGA Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) expects to wrap up its proposed purchase of a 70% stake in BP Malaysia Sdn Bhd in the next five to six months, said LTAT chief executive officer Tan Sri Lodin Wok Kamaruddin. 

The deal with BP plc, the largest oil company in Europe, was under negotiation and the stake in BP Malaysia may cost between RM400mil and RM700mil, Lodin told StarBiz after attending the corporate leaders' dialogue with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in Putrajaya yesterday.
