ROAD Builder shares closed 2 sen lower at RM3.40 in active trading yesterday despite an announcement on Monday that the company had secured a RM49.21mil contract for the construction and completion of superstructure works at the Alam Warisan project in Precinct 5 of Putrajaya. OSK Research said the project value was considered small compared with Road Builder’s existing jobs and was expected to contribute only RM2.8mil to its bottom line.
SHARES of Uchi Technologies rose 40 sen to close at RM10.60 yesterday after the company said it proposed to split one share of RM1 par value each into five new shares of 20 sen each. Analysts said the split would make the stock more affordable to a wider group of investors and offer more price upside potential.
