AS a little boy, Dr Kiran Rao had wanted to be a pilot.
It was in 1974 when Air India took delivery of the first A300 in Mangalore. Dad took me to see the aircraft and I had made up my mind from that day to be a pilot, he said when relating his story of how an Indian ended up holding a top position at Airbus.
