THE corporate world will not be complete without this media-shy tycoon, affectionately called AK. Last year, he floated Astro All Asia Network plc - the country's largest initial public offering - and successfully re-listed Malayan Tobacco Company as Measat Global Bhd on the KLSE. He now controls three major listed companies, including the largest cellular phone operator Maxis Communication Bhd. His presence in the company is a pull factor for foreign interest in the three companies.
