SEOUL: A record 13.5% of South Korean credit card bills were overdue in November after issuers clamped down on cash advances, making it harder for people to pay off one card using another, a regulator said yesterday.
The figure underscored the depth of the crisis in the industry and came as a plan for rescuing LG Card, the country's biggest card issuer, was thrown into disarray.
