KUALA LUMPUR: The US$2bil (RM7.6bil) aluminium smelter project in Sarawak will proceed as scheduled, the latest by 2005, said Dubai-based GULF International Investment Group Capital Sdn Bhds (GIIG Capital) joint partner, Mohamed Ali Alabbar.
Asked whether he was keeping his investment in the project, the businessman in the oil-rich United Arab Emirates (UAE) said: Yes.
