NATIONAL motorcycle maker Motorsikal dan Engin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas) will be launching several new models next year ahead of open market competition in the sector under the Asean Free Trade Area (Afta) in 2005.
Distributor Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (Emos) chief executive officer Nik Danial Nik Mahmood said one of the new models would be a moped with the date of launch set for end-2004.
