PARIS: French utilities group Veolia Environnement has signed a contract worth 8.5 billion euros (US$10.55bil) over 50 years to manage water supply and treatment in the Chinese city of Shenzhen.
Under the deal, Veolia Water and its investment partner, Beijing Capital Group, will take a 45% in publicly owned Shenzhen Water Group Co Ltd. Veolia said it would invest 100 million euros in the deal. AP
