MALAYSIA'S industrial output grew strongly in October as factories ramped up production to meet year-end demand.
The Statistics Department said yesterday the Industrial Production Index (IPI) rose by 11.3% to 222.1 for October from 199.6 for the same month of 2002, backed by expansion in the manufacturing and electricity sectors.
