THE high number of sewerage projects planned in Penang is likely to attract many construction and engineering companies vying for a slice of the projects in the state.

There are currently at least six major sewerage projects identified in the state under the Eighth Malaysia Plan and valued at more than RM1bil. These have yet to be awarded by the Federal Government but companies have started launching their bids.
