WITHIN days of Measat Global Bhd being re-quoted on the KLSE after a 16-month suspension, Telekom Malaysia Bhd announced it has bought a 15% stake in Malaysia’s sole satellite company, paying RM250mil cash or RM4.165 a share.
The price Telekom paid is said to be a slight discount to what institutional investors paid. Several institutional investors, including Kumpulan Wang Amanah Pencen, paid RM4.23–RM4.25 a share for their stakes in Measat just days ago.
