EPNCR (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Tricubes Computers Sdn Bhd, has secured a contract worth RM1mil from Bank Pertanian Malaysia (BPM) for the supply of 138 Tricubes 1020 for the bank's Mobile Sudut project.
The handheld Tricubes 1020 loaded with customised Mobile Sudut systems would enable Bank Pertanian operators in 138 branches to deal with customers outside their premises.
Transactions could be conducted using the handheld terminal, which can print receipts and copies to be given to customers, Tricubes said in a statement.
Mobile Sudut transactions would include utility bill payments, deposits, loan repayments, and opening of new accounts, all done in cash or cheque.
“This project serves as important inroads for EPNCR into mobile payment and banking,” said Tricubes Computers chief executive Khairun Zainal Mokhtar.
The project is now at its implementation stage and is due to be rolled out nationwide by next month. – Bernama
