MALAYSIA'S tin price hit a 38-month high after racing to catch up with gains in London over the last three days when the local market was shut for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays.
Spot tin was quoted on the Kuala Lumpur Tin Market yesterday at US$5,430 a tonne, the highest since Sept 27, 2000, when it hit US$5,418. The metal was traded last Friday at US$5,360 a tonne.
